I cautiously welcome the G8’s “common vision” on climate change; to cut global emissions by 50% by 2050. Of course, scientific evidence, to stop the worst impacts, suggests we need to cut by 80% by 2050 and 100% by 2065. Lets see what the G8+5 do tomorrow, what the fineprint is, what the actual action is, and what the US does when that has-been Bush finally goes.

A quick guide to Fiji:
- The Culture is awesome! I love Kava... the very traditional local drink
- Diving is simply spectacular!
- Next week my fam will be on 4 continents! Africa, Asia, Oceania, N. America
- A KFC Streetwise 2 & extra piece costs R70!!
- Loval veg is "dalo" -texture of a yam with not taste
- They are crazy about corned beef!
- Tropical, Hot and Humid
- Fijians are HUGE. Im scared I get eaten
- Rains a lot...
- FANTASTIC food!!!
- HUGE fruitbats
- Easiest place in the world to get a taxi. You just slightly lift your chin and someone stops outa nowhere!
